Heart of Worship (pt. 5)

This video had Kari Jobe as a guest star! She told us about a room in her house that is completely devoted to God. When she goes in there, she doesn't allow her phone or computer, just her and the Creator. She told us about this time when she was in that room and the Lord gave her a melody and she began singing it with the lyrics "I will be still and wait upon the Lord"... and I haven't been able to stop singing that since I heard it.

I recently went through a season of exhaustion. Exhaustion in my emotional life, spiritual life, physical life; just being exhausted in every way. But this season only lasted a few days...maybe a little less than a week. It is because I was still and waited for the Lord to guide me into is restoration and overflowing light and love. Being still and waiting upon the Lord requires practice and patience. Life gets compared to a marathon a lot, and it's a cliché for a reason. Just like in a marathon, you have to practice for it. If you have a marathon of 15 miles that you're training for, you can't start off running all 15. You maybe start with a mile or two. Just like in life, start training you mind to think of God more than anything else. Train it so that when you think of a negative in life, balance it out with a positive. Those are two small things that can turn into a life changing aspect of this marathon we call life. And in my season of exhaustion, I got through it so fast because of those little ways that I trained my brain. I hope you have an amazing day and lemme know how your training is going ;)

  1. I loved your personal application! Balancing out the negativity with positivity is very hard but I am so glad that you got through whatever you were going through fast. I'm gonna start training myself when I overthink to outweigh the negative thoughts with positive thoughts.
