Chapter three
Worship can look different
This chapter spoke about how worship can look different for everyone. Just because the person to the left is raising their hands and the person to the right is being silent, doesn’t mean that the one on the right is not worshipping. Some people are more comfortable singing as loud as they can and raising their hands and jumping around, while others may prefer being quiet and reflecting. Real worship is not defined by how you worship, it is defined by being touched by God.
This verse can help me feel more comfortable with how I worship. At my school, there are very few people who raise their hands in worship or sing as loud as they can. Yet, at church, that is how I worship. This can help me realize that it doesn’t matter what others think of me, as long as I am worshipping the God of the Heavens, I am worshipping well.
