Chapter eight

The Last Chapter!

     This chapter had many nuggets of wisdom in it, but the main thing that stuck out to me was accountability. This has always been difficult for me because I never know what to share or who to share it with. I’ve always wanted someone to help keep me accountable though. The other thing I struggle with is how to keep others accountable. This chapter shared example questions to ask people when trying to help keep them accountable. These example questions were all detailed questions. Not just asking “how are you doing in this area” and leaving it at that. But instead ask them specific and targeted questions to truly help them.
     This chapter helped me by giving me more tools to help myself and others around me. I recently went through a phase where I was not being held accountable, until my mom finally said to me “you always say that but you never do it” and then helped me share my feelings with the friend I was having issues with. This is a very vague example, but I believe it is valid in regards to this chapter. This helped me to see where I went wrong while trying to help myself and my friend and it also helped me to find different ways to approach the situation. Overall. I definitely recommend this chapter. And if accountability does not apply to you, there are many other topics to choose from.
