Heart of Worship (pt. 3)

This video talked a lot about showing up for God. Paul spoke about going into the sanctuary to just be there and worship; not to call it practice, but just being there to commune with God. He said that sometimes he even turns on the PA system to play as thought it were a Sunday, but without anyone there. He mentioned how something supernatural happens when he sees himself worshipping alone in the sanctuary and then sees himself worshipping with the congregation on a Sunday. Paul said that it felt like he closed his eyes when no one was there and when he opened them, the congregation was there. This video focused on just showing up for God without any agenda or expecting lightning and thunder but just showing up to show up for God.

This was a great reminder that I don't control what God does. That just because I show up with Him, it doesn't mean He has to send me sign after sign. I just need to know and trust that He will be there with me in that moment and will continue being with me throughout the week. Lately, I have felt very convicted because I don't spend as much time with Him as I should. This video has made me feel pushed into the light to where tonight after my obligations I will be going up on a hill by myself and truly spending time with God.

  1. Courtney, I loved your summary of Paul Baloche's video about leading worship. It's so important to spend time alone with God. Before you can lead other people to the Lord, you need to have a relationship with Him first.
