Finishing Your Song
In this video, by Paul Baloche, he talked about how to finish your song. This is where the fine tuning is. He says that this is where you bring out your thesaurus or whatever rhyming tool you use, and match it all up. This is also where you go through and make sure that your song is full of meat. Meaning, take all the unnecessary or "fluff" phrases out of there in order to create the most concentrated song. Paul also started to talk about how when you take those fluff pieces out, go through all your other song ideas and see what can fit in there.
I liked this video because it touched on how it's important to take the "fluff" out. He even said that sometimes adding a bridge creates more...but more isn't always better. I like that he spoke about putting in what you need and nothing more. To focus on one thing or idea and focus on that. Not to go into any other ideas.
It's encouraging to read your post! Thanks.
